Our Year-End Party, So Much To Celebrate!

The Bright Endeavors team recently met to celebrate another great year! During an uncertain time, our team used our core values of flexibility, grit, and possibility to navigate the challenges of the pandemic and accomplish our goals. We changed schedules, worked virtually, and problem solved every day to keep Bright Endeavors going. In everything we do, we put the wellbeing of our team first. We thank every production assistant, staff member, and volunteer at Bright Endeavors for their hard work and resilience during an unprecedented year! 

As our fiscal year closes, we also want to celebrate how our community of supporters have shown up for us this year! We recognize and appreciate the investment you all made into Bright Endeavors and thank you for helping us to continue our mission. Because of you and your belief in us, we achieved our most profitable year ever which translates into increased job creation for young moms.

Aside from the end of the year celebration, Bright Endeavors spotlighted two individual women. 

We celebrated the accomplishments of Jylisa, who just graduated from high school, has enrolled in college, and will soon finish the 16-week training program. She has worked hard to achieve her goals and it was a joy to recognize her success with the Bright Endeavors team.

Shanika Smiter, an alumna of our training program, spoke at our celebration about the ways she is currently using skills learned during her time at Bright Endeavors. Shanika graduated from the program 5 years ago and now owns her own small business – Scents by Sade.
